April Dawn Ortiz

April Dawn Ortiz was the victim of a fatal fire on August 31, 2020 at her residence in Batesville. April was born on August 10, 1980, and recently celebrated her 40th birthday. She born in Fort Thomas, Kentucky the daughter of Monte Lemon and Gail Keene.
She grew up in the northern Kentucky area and was a graduate of Campbell County High School in Alexandria, KY. Upon completion of school, she entered the workforce, spending several years working as a home health care specialist.
She always enjoyed a good game of softball or tennis. She had a strong faith attending various churches and was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Cold Springs, KY.
She was preceded in death by her father Monte Lemon and brother Justin Keene. She is survived by son Brenden Conner, daughter Sofia Anna Marie Ortiz, and mother Gail Keene.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday September 11, 2020 at 3:00 pm. Doors will open for a visitation at 2:00 pm. for family and friends. Services will be held at Neals Funeral Home in Osgood.
