Florine Bertha Wagner Downs

Florine Bertha Wagner Downs, 84 of Hanover and formerly of Osgood passed away at 11:07 a.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Neal's Funeral Home in Osgood. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Sunday. Burial will be at Tanglewood Cemetery near Versailles. Born on March 3, 1926 in Osgood, she was the daughter of the late Robert Charles and Edith Mary Huskil Wagner. She married Willy "Bill" Downs on January 28, 1984 and he preceded her in death in 1987. She had been employed by Textron in Greensburg where she retired after 15 years of employment. Florine loved horses, cats, dogs and all animals in general. She is survived by a daughter, Connie Holt of Versailles, two grandchildren, Brandy Cox and Shawn Dilk, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one niece, and two nephews. Mrs. Downs was preceded in death by her husband Willy, an infant brother Charles, and a twin sister, Martha Dorine Fruchtnicht.
