Jeraldine May (Flint) Fuqua

Jeraldine May Fuqua, age 87, of Osgood passed away on Saturday May 22, 2021.  She was born on November 21, 1933 the daughter of the late Russell and Clara (Arney) Flint.  She grew up in the New Marion community graduating from New Marion High School.

In the early 1950’s she entered the workforce.  She moved for a short while to Columbus and worked retail in Indianapolis.  She would meet James Fuqua thru her family, and they married in 1954.   They lived in Westport and Manchester before moving to Osgood in 1963.

She worked for the Vine’s, before spending 30 plus years with the US Shoe Factory.  She continued to work a few odd jobs after retiring.  She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, old western movies, and writing poems.  She was in attendance, at the 1954 Milan State Champion game.

She will be missed by sons Neil (Hope) Fuqua and Jim (Chandra) Fuqua, daughter Laurel (Ron Litton) Fuqua, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Alene Flint .  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James and daughter Leita Tunny.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 2 from 4-5 pm. at Neal’s Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 pm. also at the funeral home.  Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences can be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
