Jerry Collins

Jerry Collins, age 64 of Dillsboro passed away August 19, 2022.   He was born on May 3, 1958 the son of the late Dennis and Patricia (Slayback) Collins in Batesville, Indiana

Jerry entered the workforce after school.  He had worked in Harrison, Ohio at a turkey processing plant, was a cook at BG Dairy in Sunman, and had trimmed trees.  His passion thou was his time away from work, he loved the outdoors.  Jerry loved spending time fishing, and it made no difference what he was fishing for.  He had a talent at playing just about any string instrument you gave him.   His family was very important and he loved to spend time with them.

Jerry is survived by wife Debbie, son Eric Collins, daughters; Angela (Greg) Cappock, Pauline (Mike) Salisburrey, Sadie (JR) Dilts and Myra (Anthony) Smith, brothers Denny (Theresa) Collins and Dale (Eve) Collins, sisters Sharon Hittle and Nita Lazenby, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son Willy Collins, brother in law Bobby Hittle, and grandchildren Cassie, Becky, Donald, and Roger.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2022 from 3-5 pm. at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood.  Funeral Services will be held at 5 pm.  Memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences can be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
