Kathy Mae Jones

Kathy Mae Jones, 73, of Holton, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, at her home. She was born on October 26, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Ray and Doris (King) Waldroup.

After completing her education, Kathy entered the workforce, with the majority of her career spent working at General Motors in Fairfield, Ohio, where she helped build cars. She was a proud and hardworking woman who dedicated many years to her job.

Kathy was a loving mother to her daughter, Bobbie Dillon, and the two shared a close bond, living together in Holton for the past several years. She was a longtime resident of the Holton community, having made it her home for nearly 30 years.

Kathy had a passion for riding horses and cherished the time spent with her beloved pets. Known for her independent spirit, she was a woman who lived life on her terms, always enjoying the friendships she had made over the years. She attended the Bridge of Hope Church and found comfort in her faith and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Doris Waldroup, and her grandson, Sam Shipp.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Dillon, grandsons Randy (Rebecca) Shipp and Tyler (Carlie) Shipp, brother Larry Waldroup, as well as her beloved grandchildren: Trinity, Brooklyn, Ripley, Trey, Dayvin, Paisley, and Rosie.
