Leota "Blackie" Byard age 79, of Osgood, IN passed away Monday, January 23 at the Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, IN . She was born July 11, 1932 to the parents of: Hervey & Susie White Linville. She married Pearl L. "Beardy" Byard Jr. July 31, 1950 and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1999.
Blackie had worked 31 years at Vines Egg Plant which was located in Osgood years ago. She also had worked for the US Shoe Company located in Osgood for 8 years retiring in 1998.
The last few years, since 2000, she lived at the Buckeye Community Homes in Osgood where she loved to play euchre & bingo with her friends. She enjoyed painting items of art . Blackie was the queen of driving her scooter all over Osgood , people will miss seeing her waving hand and beautiful smile as she flew on by !

She was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Melinda & Lola Byard. Also, 3 brothers; Gordon, Lawrence & Randy Linville .
