Marie Violet Schmaltz, age 87 of Osgood, IN passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Ripley Crossing in Milan, IN.
Marie was born March 2, 1924 in Ripley County, IN to the parents of Edward Sylvanus & Cecile Mae Truitt Palmer.
She married Russell Franklin Schmaltz January 12, 1947 & he preceded her in death October 18, 1981.

Daughters:
Reyna L. & husband Jim Jackson of Osgood, IN
Vanessa & husband Duane Hays of Colorado Springs, Colorado

Brother:
Alton Leon Palmer of North Fort Myers, Florida

Grandhildren: 6
Great Grandchildren: 8

Marie was preceded in death by three brothers: Ralph, Darrell & Warren Palmer. Also, two sisters: Anna Lewis & Dorothy Bley.


MEMBERSHIPS:
Member of Osgood First Baptist Church and also had been a member of the Ladies Missionary Society.

Years ago she had been a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church of Versailles, IN .

Past member of the Ripley Cheer Home Ec. Club and
the Helping Hand Club both of Osgood.

Past member of the Osgood Ladies Auxillary AM Legion .

Many years ago she had been involved with the Osgood
Ladies Fire Department .


VISITATION:
Thursday, March 1, 2012/ 5:00- 8:00 pm/ Neal's Funeral Home.

FUNERAL:
Friday, March 2, 2012/ 11:00 am/ Osgood First Baptist Church.
She will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am .

BURIAL: Tanglewood Cemetery, Versailles, IN
