Martha Grace Wilson Vollmer, 86 of Osgood passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 9:21 PM at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital of Greensburg.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 11 AM at the Osgood First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Buck officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM at Neal's Funeral Home in Osgood and from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Napoleon.
Born July 30, 1922 in Batesville, she was the daughter of the late Clint and Rebecca Bultman Wilson. She married George Vollmer on May 20, 1944, he survives.
Mrs. Vollmer owned and operated Dairy Way with her husband for nine years. She was a member of the Osgood First Baptist Church where she served on the funeral committee. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, and taking care of her family.
Martha is survived by her husband, two daughters, Rita Kay and Steve Gookins of Osgood and Linda Jo and Myron Kanning of Batesville, three sons, John G. and Pamela Vollmer, Robert G. and Elaine Vollmer, and Jerry Joe and Anita Vollmer all of Osgood, ten grandchildren, Stephenie Gookin, Ryan Gookins, Angie Wall, Michelle Wheat, Tiffany Vollmer, Ashley Enneking, Courtney Vollmer, Adam Vollmer, Reyna Dieckman, and Andrew Vollmer, and seven great-grandchildren, Zachary and Danielle Purtlebaugh, Roddick Gookins, Avery Wall, and Cole, Caden, and Samantha Grace Wheat.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Virgil, Everett, Clifford, Kenneth, and Alfred Wilson, and a sister, Opal Peetz.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Osgood First Baptist Church.
