Melissa J. Crum, age 48 of Sunman, Indiana, entered this life on March 10, 1966 in Greensburg, Indiana and passed away Sunday,June 1, 2014 at her home. Melissa graduated from the Oldenburg Academy in Oldenburg, Indiana and also from Marian University, Indianapolis, Indiana. After graduating from college, she taught school at St. Mary's in Greensburg, Indiana. Melissa married Alan Eugene Crum June 6, 1992. This happy union blessed them with three children. As her children expressed, she was a wonderful mother and a GREAT cook! Side by side for many years, she and her husband Alan ran and operated Crum Farms near Sunman. She loved the farm. Melissa actually helped plant the crops, drive the farm trucks and helped with the raising of turkeys, hogs and cattle. Music was another passion of Melissa and Alan's . They both belonged to the "Adams Church Boys Plus." For years they brought joy and comfort to many people in the Ripley County area, and many other places in the state either singing with the group or mostly just by themselves. They did around eighty shows a year. They actually had a group following!
She attended church at Adams Lutheran Church near Batesville, Indiana where she had been the organist and also a Sunday School Teacher.
Family, farming and music was her life! Her beautiful smile and spirit will be so deeply missed by her family and friends!

Funeral:
Thursday, June 5, 2014/ Adams Lutheran Church/ 10:00 am/she will lie in state at the church from 9:00 am until the funeral.
