Richard Donald Kinsey

Richard “Ricky” Kinsey, age 61, passed away in the early morning hours on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at his residence in Osgood. He was born on July 8, 1960, to the late Bill and Nola Kinsey.

He attended East Hall High School in Gainesville, Georgia. After school, he went to work at the Holiday Inn in Gainesville where he worked many years as a chef. On May 28, 1987, he married Julie Hall. They were blessed with a daughter, Kurstine. In 1989 they were blessed with a nephew, Anthony Michael Landers who they helped raise and love very much.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 35 years, Julie Hall Kinsey of Osgood, daughter, Kurstine (Jack) Gearheart of Shelbyville, four grandchildren: Dakota, Jack, Summer and Autumn. Other survivors include nephew Anthony Michael Landers of Greensburg, sisters-in-law: Susan (Char) Bultman of Greensburg, Karen (Rick) Bayne of Osgood, Trish (Jim) Mayberry of Osgood, and Jennifer Hall of Greensburg, and brother-in-law, Marvin (Tina) Hall of Gainesville, Georgia, along with several nieces and nephews.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary, and in-laws, Marvin and Nell Hall. It was Ricky’s wish to be cremated and no services to be held. www.nealsfuneralhome.net
