Richard "Dick" L. Miller, age 64 of Osgood, Indiana entered this life on October 24, 1950 in Richmond, Indiana. He was the son of the late Calvin H. Miller & Elizabeth "Betty" L. McDonough Johnson. Dick graduated from Connersville High School in 1969. He then went on an attended Purdue University graduating in 1973. During his time at Purdue, he served on the Purdue Dairy Judging Team for four years. On June 30, 1973, he was united in marriage to Beverly A. McFarland in Connersville, Indiana at St. Gabriels' Catholic Church. This union was blessed with two sons, Ryan Calvin & Bradley Gene Miller. Starting in 1973, Dick became a Dairy Herdsmen for Pioneer Jersey Farm in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Following this, from 1976 to 1992, he served as manager of the feed & grain division of Fayette Co CO-OP in Indiana & then later, he & his wife moved to Osgood where he served as General Manager of the Laughery Valley AG CO-OP from March 1992 to April of 2012. Dick & Beverly had a great passion for raising and showing Jersey cattle. This to became a favorite family project for the children & grandchildren & they are still involved with it today. He was a member & past President of the Indiana Jersey Cattle Club & presently had served on their board of directors & was the current show chairman. He also was a member of the American Jersey Cattle Association. Dick was a former member of St. Gabriels' Catholic Church & a thirty year member of the Knights of Columbus Council 861 in Connersville, IN . After moving to Osgood, he became a member of St. John's Catholic Church. He was a past member of the Osgood Lions Club. Golfing was a hobby that he enjoyed with family & friends.

His wife Beverly expressed, that Dick quietly and peacefully passed away, with family by his side, Thursday evening, April 23, 2015 at the IU University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was a loving husband, father & Papaw that will be deeply missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Johnson.
