Risa Jean Mifflin

Risa Jean Mifflin, age 65, of Osgood passed away Monday evening surrounded by her family.  She was born in Bedford, Indiana on January 17, 1958 the daughter of the late Donald and Deidra (Sitterding) Cockerham.

Upon completion of high school, she entered the work force.  Risa worked her way up into management with McDonald’s, spanning a career of over 25 years.  She had numerous joys in her life, with her family being the center of her world.  She was an avid collector of Santa Claus memorabilia and loved Christmas.

A special trip with her to see the Saint Louis Arch was a highlight, as well as trips to escape rooms and the Newport Aquarium.  Her family faithfully cared for her thru her sickness.

She is survived by son James J Mifflin of Columbus, daughter Kellie Cotton of Osgood, brothers Steve (Kim) Cockerham and Dale (Melissa) Cockerham, grandchildren; Steven Williams, Jeffrey Williams, Hadin Williams, and Matthew Hembree, several adopted grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Tom and Mike.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 14, 2023 from 3-4 pm., with funeral services being held at 4 pm., all services will be held at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood.  Memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences can be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
