Thomas Edward Doolan, age 82 of Osgood, IN formerly of Indianapolis, was born January 19, 1932 in Osgood. He was the son of the late Wm. & Loretta Willis Doolan. He entered into rest, Monday, June 2, 2014 at King's Daughters Hospital in Madison, IN. Tom was an army veteran & a lifetime member of the American Legion Post # 88 in Indianapolis. He was a past employee of Cummins Diesel Engine Company of Columbus, IN . Tom's hobby was collecting books, when he moved back to Osgood, he brought over 1,000 books with him. He was known as the" Professor" by his family in Osgood! This was because he was so knowledgeable due to the amount of reading that he did. He would buy three different newspapers each day and read all, along with reading many other books on biographies of past Presidents of the US along with many other history books & novels . He was proud of the fact that he owned numerous First Editions !

Brother: Richard (Harriet) Doolan of Jackson, CA

Numerous nephews, nieces & great nephews & nieces survive.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; Carl & James Leroy Doolan, also two sisters; Elizabeth Jones & Helen Morris.

Funeral: 3:00 pm
Burial: Perseverance Cemetery near Osgood.
