Velma Carrie Lutes age 86, of Napoleon, Indiana, entered this life on April 6, 1928 in Ripley County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of of the late, Bert and Martha Bodenberg Kindelsparker. On April 29, 1950 she was united in marriage to Richard Allen Lutes and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1962. Velma died on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, Indiana. She and her husband were blessed with six sons and one daughter. She was a loving mother and a wonderful homemaker. Velma was also a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Napoleon.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Marvin and Danny Lutes. Also, two brothers Charles and Merle Kindelsparker and one sister, Geneva Butz.
