William Charles Ryan, age 87 of Moores Hill passed away on Sunday May 14 at Ripley Crossing in Milan.  William was born on April 14, 1936 the son of the late William and Wilma (Wright) Ryan.

In April of 1959, William entered the United States Army proudly serving for 2 years.  Upon his completion of military service, William entered the workforce.  The majority of his career was spent in the local union halls for both the local carpenters and pipefitters.

William enjoyed life and the outdoors.  If someone mentioned a hunting trip, he was sure to join in.  He had taken several trips out west to hunt various animals.  He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and the National Muzzle loading Rifle Association.  He was a member of the local American Legion.

He will be missed by wife Mary Lou, sons William and Ryan, daughters Michelle Ryan and Melanie (Mark) Oleker, brothers; Von (Susie) Ryan, Barry (Kathy) Ryan, and Darrell (Carol) Ryan, and sister DeLila Caudell, along with numerous grandchildren.  William was preceded in death by brothers, Lanny (Connie) Ryan and Bradford (Pam) Ryan, and sister Lavern (Fritz) Auel.

Burial will take place at Mount Sinai Cemetery at 11 am., Wednesday May 24, 2023 with military honors being given.  Online condolences may be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
